Call for Applications for Osher Institute Faculty Grant

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Boise State invites full-time tenured, tenure-track and research faculty to apply for grants of up to $7,500 to support research, projects or scholarly work.

The Osher Faculty Grant is supported by the generosity of the Osher Institute and its members for the benefit of Boise State faculty. Funding is intended to defray expenses related to the proposed project; it is not a stipend. The Osher Faculty Grant program has awarded more than $85,000 since it was established.

Past recipients include Kelly Arispe, associate professor of Spanish, Department of World Languages; Jim McNamara, Department of Geosciences; and Tim Thornes, associate professor of English, Department of English.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a membership-based, lifelong learning program for intellectually curious adults age 50 and older. It is offered through the Division of Extended Studies and offers a variety of college-level, noncredit lectures, short courses, trips and special events.
