Ralph Clare, an associate professor in the Department of English, organized and presented on a panel at the recent Modern Language Association conference in Chicago.
Clare’s panel, Why Kathy Acker Now?, addressed the legacy of Kathy Acker, an innovative writer currently undergoing a revival. Clare’s paper, “Kathy Acker: Transgeneric Literature for the Trump Era,” explored the politics of form and style in Acker’s work.
