Kinzi Poteet has been hired as the first senior communications coordinator for the Graduate College at Boise State University. She will be responsible for leading communication efforts to support recruitment, enrollment and retention, as well as overall promotion of the college. Poteet previously served as the recruiting specialist in the Graduate College, where she supported recruiting initiates, managed website and media platforms, and gained considerable experience regarding best practices for graduate education.
“We are pleased to have Kinzi join the Graduate College in this new role,” said Tammi Vacha-Haase, dean of the Graduate College. “Kinzi has done a remarkable job in recruiting students to Boise State University, and her ability to continue to tell our story as the communications coordinator will be extremely valuable. It’s no longer just enough to focus on graduate education; we must continuously strive to highlight and share the many contributions of our faculty and graduate students.”
As the largest graduate school in Idaho, Boise State’s Graduate College seeks continued growth and visibility with the addition of this position. In her role as senior communications coordinator, Poteet will collaboratively develop communication and marketing strategies targeted at serving the campus community as well as internal and external stakeholders.
