The Winter Clay and Fire Sale will take place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Dec. 8-10 in the Liberal Arts Building, Visual Arts Center Gallery. The sale is open to the public, and admission is free.
Held each spring and fall semesters for about 40 years, the art department ceramics program sale has become a tradition for many in the Treasure Valley. It features hundreds of original ceramic pieces, ranging from elegant to exotic, made by Boise State students, faculty and alumni. This sale offers the opportunity to purchase locally made, unique gifts, while keeping alumni and community in touch with current students and their creations.
A portion of the proceeds benefits Boise State’s Visiting Artists in Ceramics program, which brings world-class artists to campus to teach students and the community about contemporary techniques and concepts. The Clay and Fire Sale makes it possible for the public to attend these two-day workshops, which are always free for Boise State students, faculty and staff.
