Fatima Cornwall, a state certified court interpreter in Spanish and Portuguese, attended the 7th Annual Pacific Northwest Court Interpreter Conference in Lake Oswego, Oregon, in September.
Sessions at the conference covered topics ranging from vicarious trauma to ethics and vocabulary development. Court interpreters also had the opportunity to practice their consecutive, sight and simultaneous interpretation skills.
Cornwall also is a federally-certified court interpreter in Spanish.
