Albertsons Library will host an “Edit-A-Thon” from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the Student Diversity Center on the second floor of the Student Union Building.
Campus experts will help you learn to contribute to Wikipedia with the aim of increasing representation of local people of color, the LGBT+ community, refugees, women, and other groups, movements and happenings that often have been left behind on the popular research site.
Anyone who is interested in raising the profile and increasing the quality of information available online is invited to participate. Organizers will provide pizza and sodas.
Preregister online as a content facilitator or as a participant.
Not familiar with Wikipedia? You’re still welcome to attend. Take a look at some of the Wikipedia training modules to gain familiarity before the event.
