A team of Boise State faculty including Lisa Brady (History), Yookyung Lee (World Languages) and Carole Schroeder (History) participated in the Infusing Korean Studies into the Undergraduate Curriculum institute at the University of Hawai’i-Manoa in Honolulu. Brady, Lee and Schroeder are working together to create a Korean Studies minor at Boise State that will build upon current course offerings in Korean language instruction and modern Korean culture to include a broader range of classes in the region’s history and culture. The institute, sponsored by the East-West Center at the University of Hawai’i-Manoa, provided important content sessions and networking opportunities to support that goal. The Boise State Center for Teaching and Learning provided support for the team’s travel.
