Farewell Reception for Mark Rudin is Thursday, Aug. 2

The president’s office invites the campus community to a farewell reception honoring Mark Rudin, who has served as vice president for research and economic development at Boise State since 2007.

Rudin has played a central role in developing Boise State’s reputation as a metropolitan research university of distinction, helping Boise State become Idaho’s fastest-growing research enterprise. Rudin is also part of Boise State’s senior leadership team and oversees the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Office of Research Compliance, the Office of Technology Transfer, the Office of Economic Development, and other administrative and technical offices.

He is leaving Boise State to serve as president of Texas A&M University-Commerce.

The farewell reception will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Alumni and Friends Center Ballroom, 1173 University Drive. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served. Parking is available in the Alumni and Friends Center lot.
