Tom Turco, a lecturer in the department of Community and Environmental Health, and Nick Webster, an instructional technologist with OIT Learning Technology Solutions, presented last week at the Blackboard Inc. annual user conference (Blackboard World) in Orlando, Florida, about the use of educational video in the learning management system. Their presentations were titled “Reuse, Repurpose and Recycle Video Content for Greater Efficiency and Better Student Outcomes,” and “Engaging the Isolated – Video Best Practices for Increasing Engagement in Online Courses.” Both focused on Boise State faculty’s utilization of the TechSmith suite of products in hybrid and online courses.
