Elisa Barney Smith has been named a winner in Blackboard’s Exemplary Course Program. The program recognizes faculty and course designers from schools, colleges, and universities around the world who develop engaging and innovative courses that represent the best in technology and learning.
Barney Smith won for her course “ECE 350 – Signals and Systems.”
The course demonstrated excellence in four areas: course design, interaction and collaboration, assessment, and learner support.
“I’m proud to recognize Dr. Barney Smith for her commitment to creating engaging, innovative courses that maximize learning outcomes,” said Bill Ballhaus, chairman, CEO and president of Blackboard. “We look forward to continuing to partner with Boise State University and other members of the educational community to drive student success.”
ECP has recognized instructors and course designers for the past 17 years. To be considered for the honor, applicants must be users of the Blackboard Learn or Moodlerooms learning management systems. Course developers, instructional designers, teachers, and professors evaluate the submissions.
