Amber Sherman, an assistant professor and librarian at Albertsons Library, has been chosen as a 2018-2019 Open Educational Resources Research Fellow.
The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation sponsors the fellowships that support researching the impact of open educational resources on the cost of education, student success outcomes, patterns of usage of OER, and perceptions of OER.
More than 60 applicants applied for the fellowships. Only a third of the applicants were chosen. Fellows will attend a national Open Education Conference in the fall, write a research paper, and participate in online meetings among other requirements.
The Open Education Group administers and supports the fellowship grants.
