Isaac Castellano recently published an article in the Water Utility Journal titled “Unauthorized Water Use in the American West.” The article examines unauthorized water use trends across the region and argues that as population growth and climate change alter the supply and demand of water, western states will have increased pressure to increase their funding of water management agencies and monitoring of unauthorized water use.
