Ralph Clare co-organized a seminar with professor Matthew Mullins (Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary) at the 2018 American Comparative Literature Conference in Los Angeles, California, in April.
The seminar, “Always Periodize?: Methods and Implications of Literary History,” brought together an international group of scholars to present papers and discuss the theories and pedagogical practice of periodizing, understanding and teaching contemporary literature.
