The 2018 Clay and Fire Sale, featuring ceramics handcrafted on campus, by students, faculty and alumni, will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., May 3-5 in the Visual Arts Center Gallery in the Liberal Arts Building. Admission is free.
Boise State’s ceramics program has hosted this sale during the spring and fall semesters for the past four decades. Featuring hundreds of original ceramic pieces that range from elegant to exotic, it has become a tradition for many art lovers in the Treasure Valley.
A portion of the proceeds benefits Boise State’s Visiting Artists in Ceramics program, which brings world-class artists to campus each semester to teach students and the community about contemporary techniques and concepts. The Clay and Fire Sale makes it possible for the public to attend these two-day workshops, which are always free for Boise State students, faculty and staff.
