The Idaho State Board of Education has named five finalists for the presidency of Boise State University. Each is visiting campus for one day.
Faculty and staff are invited to attend an open forum with Kevin Reynolds from 1:15-2:15 p.m. Monday, April 23. A student open forum will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Both forums are in the Simplot Ballroom BDE, Student Union Building.
A community reception also will be open to the public from 5-7 p.m. at the Alumni and Friends Center.
Reynolds has served Portland State University as vice president for finance and administration since 2014 and has served concurrently as the interim vice president for research and strategic partnerships since 2017. As the university’s chief financial officer, Reynolds is responsible for the management of its operating budget, human resources and physical plant.
Prior to assuming the role of vice president, Reynolds was the vice provost for planning, internationalization and for the School of Extended Studies, as well as chemistry department chair and a professor of chemistry. He previously was a faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Maryland.
He holds a Ph.D. and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Southampton, England.
