Celebrate the 12 Days of BroncoFit

Join in the 12 Days of BroncoFit April 18-29, a time designed to help students, faculty and staff be more aware of all aspects of their health and take advantage of the wide variety of health-related programs and services Boise State has to offer. The events are all free unless otherwise noted.

Below are a few highlights.

Monday
10 a.m.-2 p.m. Food Symposium. Join in this discussion of what Boise State’s food culture should look like, with input from students, faculty and staff. Catered lunch provided. Meets at Imagination Lab in Skaggs Hall.

5:30-7:30 p.m. Beginner Mountain Ride. New riders are encouraged to join this easy ride, led by members of the Cycle Learning Center, and get oriented to the Boise front trail system. Bonus: Two-hour free bike demos are available to the campus community this week. Meets at the Cycle Learning Center.

Tuesday
11 a.m.-2 p.m. Prescription medication take-back day. This program allows all members of the Boise State and surrounding community to turn in old and expired medications on the Quad for safe disposal, free of charge and no questions asked. Members from the Boise Police Department will be on site to collect and secure prescription medications, including pet medications, and answer questions from community members.

Wednesday
12:10 p.m. Employee Stretch and Tone. This exercise class focuses on lengthening and strengthening your muscles. All fitness levels welcome. Meets in the Kinesiology Annex Room 201.

Thursday
4:45 p.m. REFIT. This exercise class uses value-positive music, movement and messaging to build community and impact lives. All shapes and sizes are welcome to the power-packed hour class. Meets in the Farnsworth Room in the Student Union Building.

Friday
12:10 p.m. Employee Restorative Yoga. This yoga class focuses on relaxation and restoration. All fitness levels welcome. Meets in the Kinesiology Annex Room 201.

Saturday
10 a.m. Yoga on the Blue. Grab your yoga mat and head to the Blue Turf for this once-a-year opportunity to practice your downward dog on the 15-yard line. This event is free for individuals with a Boise State ID. Happening at Albertsons Stadium. Please enter through Entrance A on the south side of the stadium. Gates will open at 9:30 a.m.
