Tasha Souza presented a three-hour workshop titled Creating An Inclusive Classroom: Strategies for Fostering Inclusion and Addressing Microaggressions for faculty at Trinity Washington University in Washington, D.C. over spring break.
She recently published an online article in Faculty Focus Premium (a MAGNA publication) titled “Responding to Microaggressions in the Classroom: Taking ACTION” and developed (with co-author Amy Exah) an online short course titled “Preparing Program Directors for Managing Student Conflict and Microaggressions Abroad” for Diversity Abroad’s Faculty Development Short Course Series. These 40-minute e-learning opportunities are designed to equip program leaders with insights and practical tools to lead inclusive programs abroad and to support and advance inclusive excellence in global education.
