Please nominate a deserving Boise State graduate for the 2018 Distinguished Alumni and Service Awards and help grow the impressive list of honorees. Nominations are due by April 30.
The Distinguished Alumni Award program was created in 1988 and has since become a tradition to honor extraordinary alumni changing the world in their chosen professional fields and/or personal endeavors. These individuals exemplify the loyalty, passion and innovation found in all great Broncos.
Do you know Boise State alumni who serve in leadership roles on a college advisory council, board of directors, or have provided countless hours volunteering to make a significant impact on your programs? The Distinguished Alumni Service Award honors alumni who have consistently provided exemplary service to the university community, enhancing the stature, success and well-being of the university and/or the Boise State Alumni Association. The honoree’s extraordinary interest in the university, demonstrated through dedicated volunteer service, should be an inspiration to the campus community.
The Boise State Alumni Association Board of Directors selects the recipients each year based on nominations submitted by deans, development directors, colleagues, friends, family and/or other supporters. The Alumni Association will honor up to four recipients for the Distinguished Alumni Award, and two recipients for the Distinguished Alumni Service Award.
Honorees are recognized at the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Gala the Friday before Homecoming and on the Blue Turf at halftime during the Homecoming football game.
Announcements of award winners will be made in July.
The 2018 Homecoming date has not been set yet, as the schedule will adjust based on ESPN changes to the football schedule. A date should be finalized in May.
