John Freemuth was interviewed for an AP story titled “Trump fights releasing details on national monument decision.”
In the article, Fremuth says shrinking monuments is both a political question and a legal one with big ramifications however it turns out.
“The big argument is whether the president has the authority to do this and what arguments the president is using,” he said. “It’s kind of in breath-holding mode now.”
