Diane Boothe presents at Governor’s Teaching Fellows Program

Diane Boothe from Boise State’s College of Education and Melissa Caspary from Georgia Gwinnett College presented “Content Based Curriculum to Engage English Language Learners in the Scientific Curriculum” for the University of Georgia system Institute of Higher Education, Governor’s Teaching Fellows Program.

This presentation focused on hands-on science pedagogy and utilized interactive methodologies and multimedia to discuss instructional methods in the 21st century science classroom where curriculum design and teaching context relate to the utilization of collaborative, active learning focused on exploring best practices. Emphasis was placed on strategies to strengthen knowledge for English Language Learners.
