Idaho Dance Theatre, the professional dance company in residence at Boise State, presents Embody All, a performance of diverse choreography and music with new works by Kylie Dimick, Marla Hansen, Taylor Munson, Sam Mughrabi and others.

Performances take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 1-2 and at 2 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Boise State Special Events Center.

Artistic Director Marla Hansen presents a high spirited rendition of Carmina Burana performed to a symphonic winds version of this iconic music. Then in complete contrast, Hansen presents the premiere of Golden Flower, a piece set to solo classical guitar.

Mughrabi’s new work evokes the cabaret scene of the roaring 20s, full of theatrical surprises, fascinating characters and a tantalizing duet by Taylorann Evans and Yurek Hansen. Munson’s piece, set to quirky, upbeat music, features the entire company and a quartet with Hansen, Mughrabi, Dimick and Munson.

Dimick’s hynotic, rugged movement portraying a battle of strength, vulnerability and a story of love and turmoil, lends yet another choreographic perspective to the performance.

Tickets are available online at idahodancetheatre.org and at the door: $10-$30.

Discounted tickets are available for students, seniors 62 and older, military, and Boise State staff. Feb. 1 preview night tickets are $50-$10 at the box office. For more information, call (208) 331-9592.

The event is sponsored by Arts Idaho, Boise State University, the Boise City Department of Arts and History, and Chelsey Adams Design.
