Undergraduate Research Assistant
Background
Tyler Webb joined the Nanoscale Materials & Device Group the Summer of 2017. Tyler is a non-traditional student pursing a bachelors degree in Materials Science and Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. Tyler is currently working on characterizing 2D materials grown via Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), using Raman Spectroscopy and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
In 2016, Tyler was honorably discharged from the United States Army where he served for nine years as a medic. In the summer of 2016 he started as a full time student at Boise State University. In the Spring of 2017, Tyler was hired as a Chemistry Lab Instructor and worked as a tutor for the Chemistry Instructional Center.
