Dr. Azhad U. Chowdhury joined the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSMSE) at Boise State University in October 2020 as a Research Scholar working in the Nanoscale Materials and Device Group as part of the Quantum DNA research group and Ultrafast Spectroscopy Team with Prof. Bill Knowlton and Dr. Bernard Yurke. Before joining Boise State, he held a position in the Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a Postdoctoral Research Associate from 2017–2020. His primary areas of expertise and research interests include method development for quantitate and qualitative analysis of crystallinity of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) using nonlinear optical imaging and understanding the molecular origins of chemical selectivity at interfaces using vibrational sum frequency generation spectroscopy.
