March 20, 2015 – Dr. Bernie Yurke, a Distinguished Research Professor in the Nanoscale Materials and Device Group at Boise State University, was honored as the recipient of the 2015 Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering (IASE) Distinguished Scientist/Engineer Award at the annual IASE awards dinner. Bernie received the award to a standing ovation. Professor Amy Moll, Dean of the College of Engineering at Boise State University, presented the award on behalf of IASE and discussed Bernie’s seminal contributions to squeezed light and DNA nanotechnology among other fields, his connection to Idaho, his impact at Boise State University, and his humility.
