Mr. Christopher Vinhtroung Buu successfully defended his thesis on the “Electrical Characterization of Gold Functionalized DNA Origami Nanotubes” February 28, 2013. Chris developed synthesis protocols and measurement techniques to probe the electrical conductivity of DNA origami nanotubes decorated with gold nanoparticles or metallized with gold ions. Chris’s results help build the foundation for synthesis and characterization of DNA-based devices with tunable electrical properties.
