Lejmarc Snowball, a Materials Science & Engineering undergraduate research assistant in the NMDG, received the Best Poster Award at the 2012 3rd Annual Pacific Northwest Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Conference at Oregon State University (February 10-11, 2012). His teammates and co-authors are Donald Kellis, Craig Onodera, Heiu Bui, Jason Brotherton, Nick Schmidt, Chris Buu, and Stephanie Barnes with faculty Elton Graugnard, William L. Hughes, Bernard Yurke, Wan Kuang, Jeunghoon Lee, and William B. Knowlton. The title of the poster is “Synthesis of End Thiolated DNA Origami Nanotubes Decorated with Gold Nanoparticles”. Besides Boise State University, other universities that were in attendance were Oregon State University, Portland State University, University of Washington, and Washington State University.
