As a Focus Project Coach, you will serve an important role by providing guidance and accountability for one or more Fellows as they craft their Focus Project during the six-week Leadership Institute. Fellows will have an idea for their project at the start of the Institute, and you will help them refine and expand this idea as they work through a Toolkit of exercises targeted at various action-planning stages.
Each coaching relationship is different, and Fellows will get as much out of this experience as they put into it. However, there are certain practices to maximize the experience for both Fellows and Coaches:
- Leverage your project planning experience.
- Provide space for Fellows’ ideas to evolve throughout the Leadership Institute.
- Help Fellows connect with others and expand their network where possible.
Fellows and coaches will be partnered based on shared interest. We will work to create matches that ensure the best personal and professional fit. You will be supported through this process with a Focus Project Coach Orientation, a Focus Project Worksheet, and a Toolkit to help guide you and the fellows through the project development process.
