Who we are and what we do
The purpose of this organization shall be to:
- Support any student that plays any tuba or euphonium instrument, looking to support other tuba or euphonium musicians, and are looking to become better performers on their instrument, as well as becoming a better musician overall.
- Support our musical community, and by performing our music for the community
- Incorporate composers and professional tuba and euphonium players to give us a better understanding of how best to play
- Incorporate our instruments within an ensemble setting
Above all, TEMO desires to support the love of tuba and euphonium music. This can be through performing music, attending concerts, sharing information, or other mediums as well.
If you would like more information about our group or are interested in joining, email us at TEMO@boisestate.edu!
Request a Performance
While it is not required to be in a performing group, TEMO provides support to the Boise State Tuba Euphonium Ensemble (TUEU) which is comprised of members from the tuba and euphonium studios at Boise State as well as students studying various disciplines across campus. TuEu Ensemble rehearses once per week and regularly presents concerts on and off. Repertoire consists of large-scale transcriptions of standard orchestral works, original music for tuba-euphonium ensemble, jazz & commercial style compositions and other chamber works for three or more players. For more information about joining TuEu Ensemble or if you are interested in requesting a performance please contact Dr. Bill Waterman or TEMO.
