Boise State Jazz

We believe that the foundational knowledge and skills found within jazz tradition play a critical role in the development of comprehensive music education. Students from across our campus and community can take advantage of our Jazz courses which include Improvisation I-IV, Jazz History, Vocal Jazz, Jazz Applied Lessons 100-500, Jazz Combos, and the Boise State Jazz Orchestra.  We also support our music production certificate and the Gene Harris Legacy through regular community-based jam sessions, an afterschool All-Star jazz program, and the Treefort South initiative.
