Boise, Idaho, is both urban and wild. It’s grit and glamor. Our lively, clean, artistic, vibrant, tree-lined city is just steps from mountains, a river and hundreds of trails. This is where you come to escape and push your limits. Boise State is the largest university in Idaho, located in a thriving metropolitan area. In addition to serving as a cultural hub for the arts, Boise offers an electrifying downtown, picturesque vistas, and great outdoor recreation.
The Department of Music has about 170 undergraduate and graduate students, 21 full-time faculty and 17 adjunct faculty. We offer BM degrees in Composition, Music Education and Performance; BA degrees in Music; and MM degrees in Choral Conducting, Music Education and Performance.
