Opportunities
All students participate in ensembles, which include Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Winds, Jazz Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, All-Campus Band, Marching Band, and Chamber music.
During their time at the Boise State University, graduate and exceptional undergraduate students are encouraged to work in the many professional and community ensembles available in our region. Trumpet students are fortunate to have access and exposure to the highest caliber of music making in the area. We are focused on preparing students for a fulfilling and varied career in the arts, by encouraging them to follow their interests and guiding them to gain valuable skills and experiences.
Additional enrichment comes from frequent guest recitals and master classes by some of the world’s leading trumpeters: Tom Hooten, Boyde Hood, Peyden Shelton, Randy Brecker, Stephen Campbell, Dan Rosenboom, Bijon Watson, Buddy Deshler, and John Daversa to name a few.
