Part of the goal of the Semiconductor for All Grant is to implement robust and diverse learning opportunities for all. This includes offering professional development opportunities and continuing education credits, developing a library of free digital courses delving into semiconductor concepts, and providing support to those looking to enter the workforce.
Continuing Education
Under the Semiconductor for All grant, the MER Institute is working towards providing additional education opportunities to a variety of audiences: non-traditional students, those re-entering the workforce, or anyone who simply hopes to learn more about semiconductors. We are currently developing a series of courses with industry partners and teams across the Boise State campus.
Course will be available late Fall 2024.
Teacher Professional Development
MER Institute is continually present at conferences across the state and country in order to meet and support K-12 educators and partners. Through collaboration and communication, the Institute will provides teachers with the means to implement microelectronic education into their classrooms.
Currently, a professional development course is being made to upscale teachers’ education and instruction in semiconductors and microelectronic education.
