UPWARDS Program brings Boise State students to Japan

The MER Institute is proud to support Boise State University’s involvement in the UPWARDS for the Future program, a collaborative initiative between 11 universities—six in the U.S. and five in Japan. Originally launched by Micron and Tokyo Electron (TEL), this program aims to strengthen and diversify the semiconductor workforce, with a particular focus on increasing opportunities for women in the industry. As part of this effort, three students from Boise State’s College of Engineering participated in a summer leadership conference in Japan, hosted by UPWARDS, to advance women’s roles in the field.
