-
Liljana Babinkostova
Professor
Emphasis Areas: Cryptology, Set Theory, Number Theory
Research Areas: The foundation of Babinkostova’s research is cryptography and cryptanalysis and their interplay with game theory and number theory, which are used for the development of tools and techniques that reduce risks to critical energy infrastructure posed by current and emerging cyber threats. In particular, her research focus is investigating the security of cryptographic protocols against algebraic and side-channel attacks, black-box cryptanalysis and developing a formal framework for modeling and reasoning about security in the presence of quantum attacks.
Program co-Coordinator of the MSc in Cybersecurity and Coordinator of the Graduate Cryptology Security Analyst Certificate Program.
Affiliate Faculty: Institute for Pervasive Cybersecurity, Energy Policy Institute, Institute for Microelectronics Education and Research (MER) and School of Computing.
