Albertsons Library at Boise State is among 50 public and academic libraries in the country to host Americans and the Holocaust, a traveling exhibition from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.
On display from Wednesday, March 22 through Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Open during library hours.
Americans and the Holocaust examines the motives, pressures, and fears that shaped Americans’ responses to Nazism, war, and genocide in Europe during the 1930s and 1940s. The exhibition challenges the commonly held assumptions that Americans knew little and did nothing about the Nazi persecution and murder of Jews as the Holocaust unfolded. The traveling exhibit is on loan from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.
