Q&A Table for Interlibrary Loan: How to Get the Most from Your Library

Stop by Albertsons Library on August 27th and 29th to gain increased access to books, research, videos, and more, even if the library doesn’t own them. Interlibrary Loan (ILL) will be hosting Q&A table sessions for interested Boise State students and employees, and they can help new ILL users sign up for a free account to request more library loans.

Are you looking for a peer-reviewed article or book chapter to strengthen your research project? How about the current best seller? Interlibrary loan at Albertsons Library helps patrons access these materials and more.

How It Works

ILL works with other libraries by sharing a patron’s request with their network of lending institutions. When one of those libraries has the item, they can send it to the Albertsons Library for the patron to check out.

What Can Be Requested

Whether for research or recreation, ILL requests can include:

  • Books
  • Thesis/Dissertations/Conference Proceedings
  • Audiovisual Material
  • Journals
  • Microfilm/Microfiche
  • Articles
  • Book Chapters
  • Other miscellaneous formats

Due to format-specific issues (like copyright/licensing restrictions and physical conditions of an item), the following materials cannot be lent:

  • eBooks
  • M3 Scores
  • Reference
  • Reserves
  • Periodicals
  • Archives

Who can request

Currently enrolled graduate and undergraduate Boise State students. Boise State University staff and faculty, including adjunct and emeritus, are also able to borrow through ILL.
