DIY CNC Machine – Andrew Lackey
This CNC project was inspired by the success of my 3D printer I created. I wanted to expand the limits of creating objects beyond plastic. I designed this CNC in Fusion 360Ⓡ with the intentions of making it reliable and sturdy enough to rise to any task. Once I had most of the physical parts done, I wanted to complete all the electronics. That’s where the Maker Lab came in. Using the laser cutter to cut out 6mm plywood into a customized box was the perfect solution to house the motor drivers, controllers, etc. The CNC is not fully operational yet but with a few adjustments it will be soon. Hopefully, this will inspire others to use any resources they have available to build whatever their mind comes up with!
