MATERIAL SCIENCE 415

students work together at laptops

In autumn 2018, Mike Hurley’s Material Science 415 class embarked on an experiential learning assignment that incorporated two instructional sessions at the Albertsons Library’s MakerLab. Students were required to create a file from scratch or modify an existing file to 3D print. A learning objective of the assignment was for students to have several iterations (e.g. failed attempts) of their prints in order to arrive at a “successful” print.
