Current Research Areas

Our research looks at Regional Earth Systems holistically through a lens of models and data. Our definition of Regional Earth Systems includes the integrated land system that includes interactive biophysical elements (e.g., soils, vegetation, and atmosphere), and the people that inhabit and impact the land system. Water is the unifying currency that we trace through these systems, because it affects all facets of the Regional Earth System: soils, vegetation, atmosphere and people. Most importantly, we are a welcoming and inclusive team of scholars that supports our colleagues inside our group, in our department, university, and scientific community.
