Participant Manual
Sports and Activities
Each program participant will experience ALL the following activities (except Mountain Biking, which must be registered for separately) over the course of a single 2-week session. Participants will be assigned to a group of 20-25 other children with 3-4 instructors who they will remain with for the duration of the 2-week session. Children will be grouped according to age.
Please note: While the majority of participants in each group are within one year of each other, there are instances when a larger age range or gap is present between participants in the same group. This is usually the case with our older participants, ages 10-14. While we attempt to have a tighter age gap, we also have to keep group sizes manageable (smaller instructor-to-participant ratios), so that we don’t have too many (or too little) participants in each group. Finally, if there is a larger age gap in a group, our instructors do their best to split the group by age during activities, when possible, so that participants are working with closer-aged peers. If you have questions or concerns about this please call me, (208) 426-3109. Groups will rotate to different facility locations throughout each day, participating in the various sports and activities listed within this page.
The focus and priority of our program is to provide participants with a variety of fun, developmentally appropriate sports and activities that can improve overall athleticism, coordination, and skill development. All lessons and activities have been designed for 5-14 year old participants with an emphasis on partner and small-sided games and activities to optimize participation and skill development.
