Exercise, Physical Activity, and Sport Emphasis
The Department of Kinesiology has created a new Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise, Physical Activity, and Sport (EPAS). This program is unique in four ways. First, it offers an alternative to the current B.S. degree that prepares students for graduate degree work, either in professional degrees (Physical Therapy, Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, Chiropractic, etc.), or for research. Secondly, the program includes content not currently offered in our degrees, but desired by area employers (e.g. technology, telehealth, business, and sport analytics). Third, this degree maximizes flexibility and student choice, with online (ON), hybrid (HY), and face-to-face (F2F) courses offered. Fourth, we seek to recruit rural students in Idaho who might not have access to a F2F degree in Kinesiology.
