The deadline to apply for the Master of Kinesiology or the Master of Science in Kinesiology program is February 1st for Fall priority. The Department of Kinesiology will review your application materials to determine if you completed and submitted the following criteria:
- Apply to the Graduate College and satisfy the minimum admissions requirements of the Graduate College. International applicants must satisfy the international admissions requirements
- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution of higher learning or a degree from a non-U.S. institution of higher education that is judged equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree by the International Admissions Office
- A minimum undergraduate cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, from the applicant’s most recent baccalaureate degree
- Submit Unofficial Transcripts
- Submit a letter of application describing background, academic interests, career goals, how this degree will assist you in achieving those goals, and identify a potential faculty mentor
- Submit a current resume
- Demonstrate an appropriate pattern of classes that provide a foundation for the graduate area of study as determined by the Kinesiology Department Graduate Faculty
- Three letters of recommendation from academic and/or professional references. Letters should address your potential for success in a graduate program, strengths and weaknesses, and the benefits you may receive from graduate study
Priority Application Deadline
- February 1 (pertains to some funding opportunities)
- Applications are accepted after this date, August 1st for final review
- Fall admission is recommended for new students
