The purpose of the ITHS Education Newsletter is to notify you about new events such as the Team Science Seminar Series. The CDS consists of lectures and workshops designed to provide junior faculty, investigators, and research staff with tools, a forum for discussion, and learning opportunities to help advance their careers. The CRES consists of continuing education and networking events for research coordinators and other research staff interested in clinical research topics.
Session 5:
RESOURCES TO SUPPORT EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AND PERSONAL GROWTH
Emotional intelligence has been associated with higher productivity, performance and job satisfaction in numerous fields. Leaders with high EI are more capable and confident and are able to relate more positively with others on the team. High EI correlates to crucial workplace skills including conflict management, communication and teamwork. During the session, we will discuss your strengths, areas for improvement, and strategies for boosting your EI and dive into the basic competencies of emotional intelligence and how these competencies impact leadership.

Session 6:
MENTORSHIP AND LEADERSHIP AT DIFFERENT CAREER STAGES
Mentorship can have a wonderful impact on your career. 91% of workers with a mentor reported being satisfied with their jobs. Compared to those without a mentor, that was an increase of more than 20% based on research by CNBC. Subsequently, this session will focus on identifying the various formats and focus areas of mentorship. As well as providing tools and guidance to create a successful mentoring relationship.
