Reginald Jayne, PhD
Clinical Associate Professor, Faculty Lead (IDS)
Reggie Jayne is a proud interdisciplinarian with a unique academic journey. After earning a high school diploma from the Marine Military Academy, he earned an AA in Liberal Arts from Montgomery College and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown, focusing on English, History, and Philosophy. He then completed an MA in History from Sam Houston State University, leading to a founding faculty position at the College of Western Idaho (CWI). He was recognized multiple times for his teaching and leadership and was promoted to one of CWI’s first full professors.
Reggie also holds an Interdisciplinary PhD in Humanities and History from Faulkner University, where he focused on Great Books and Great Ideas, exploring intellectual connections across academic disciplines across Western Civilization. After thirteen years at CWI, he made the transition to Boise State where he teaches in the School for the Digital Future and serves as faculty lead for IDS. Reggie most enjoys helping interdisciplinary students understand and harness the power of student-designed programs.

Breanna Ribeiro
Senior Student Success Advisor
Breanna finds fulfillment supporting students in the Interdisciplinary Studies and Digital Innovation and Design programs as they craft intentional degrees that align with their unique goals and interests. She is happy to assist with degree planning, academic skill-building and goal-setting, problem-solving barriers to academic success, and Boise State navigation.
Breanna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Linfield College with minors in Sociology, Political Science, and Gender Studies. Following her undergraduate studies, she completed a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship at the Akilah Institute for Women in Rwanda, where she supported student development programming and developed a passion for student empowerment. Breanna earned her Master of Arts in Critical Gender Studies from Central European University in Budapest, Hungary. While living abroad, Breanna cultivated a deep love for traveling and having her ideas and beliefs challenged by diverse cultures and peoples. As a result, Breanna is committed to building inclusive learning environments in higher education. In her spare time, Breanna likes to hike with her dog and shoot film photography in nature, hobbies she developed growing up in rural Eastern Oregon.
