Nicolás “Nico” Diaz has been part of the Boise State community for many years, receiving his B.A. in International Relations and Spanish in 2009. He continued his education, earning a Master of Public Administration in 2016 and a Master of Arts in Political Science in 2018. His research revolved around examining the role of corruption in developing countries, primarily Latin America and evaluating pharmaceutical pollution in Idaho aquifers.

Professionally, Nico has been at Boise State since 2014, focusing his efforts in student development, support, and success. He served in a variety of student support programs, including Veteran Services, the Educational Access Center, and the Advising and Academic Support Center. He has also been teaching in an adjunct capacity since 2016 with the University Foundations Program, academic development courses, and the Global Studies program. Nico is the current Student Initiatives Coordinator at IFITS, joining the team in 2022. He primarily oversees the LSAMP and Bridge to Baccalaureate programs.
