We need your help to restore riparian vegetation along the river side-channel at the Diane Moore Nature Center! This project will benefit wildlife and fish that call the Boise River home.
Join The Nature Conservancy of Idaho (TNC) and the Intermountain Bird Observatory (IBO) for a day of work at the Diane Moore Nature Center! Volunteers will be planting willows, cottonwoods, and other native plants.
We have some planting equipment to share if you don’t have your own, but please bring your own gardening tools if possible. If you have boots or hip waders please bring them to change in to since we may need a few folks to cross the side channel.
Be sure to bring:
layers to keep you comfortable in cold or warm temperatures (or rain!)
work gloves labeled with your name
garden tools with your name
waterproof boots or waders
water bottle
lunch
snacks and water-filling station will be provided
We will have a volunteer waiver and photo release form for you to sign when you arrive
