Boise River
We conduct breeding season and migration songbird monitoring at IBO’s Diane Moore Nature Center on varying dates from June to October each year. This station is closed in the winter and spring. Read more on our Boise River Research Station page.

Lucky Peak
Visit the project that put IBO on the map!
We run our Lucky Peak banding station each fall from July 16 to October 28. Visitors are welcome to watch us catch and band songbirds, hawks, and owls.
Visit us in September and October for an unforgettable experience at a 24/7 research station!

Hummingbirds
We band hummingbirds throughout the summer in Idaho City. We are studying the timing of hummingbird migration, survival, and nesting success. Read more about this project on the Hummingbird Project Page.
We band at a private home and space is limited. To visit hummingbird banding you must sign up ahead of time. Registration typically opens in late spring.
