Help us make campus safer for birds!
We’re looking for volunteers to assist in searching for bird window strikes on campus.
Our work-study students and interns have come up with a survey plan, and now we need extra hands to document dead birds and other signs of collisions. This data will help us prioritize windows for bird-safe treatments.
Our goal is to check as many buildings as often as possible. Volunteers can participate in incidental surveys year-round or targeted surveys during peak migration (spring and fall). Whether you can help occasionally or regularly, we’d love your support!
We will be using the smartphone app, iNaturalist, as well as google forms on smartphones to collect bird strike data.
