Spring work at the Diane Moore Nature Center
This spring will be all hands on deck at the Diane Moore Nature Center. We need volunteers to plant shrubs and help with other habitat restoration projects at the site. Sign up for updates using this google form.
IBO shirts for sale
Be sure to visit our Bonfire shop, where we have a number of shirt designs available. This year we’re excited about a new Lucky Peak shirt featuring songbirds, raptors, and owls. This shirt design was created by talented artist, Emma Regnier, who worked on the 2022 Lucky Peak raptor crew!
IBO migration book available
We worked with Biology Undergraduate and Local Artist, Anna Connington, to write and illustrate a children’s book all about migration. The story follows a Wilson’s Warbler from her nesting grounds in Alaska, to IBO’s banding station at Lucky Peak, and then to her wintering grounds in Mexico! If you’d like a copy of your own, or want to help get more copies to Idaho classrooms, visit our PonyUp project page.
VIP student opportunities
The second semester of our VIP(Vertically Integrated Project) course is underway! This opportunity is open to undergraduate and graduate students at Boise State University and College of Western Idaho. Learn more about our VIP program.
Vehicle donations needed
We’re on the search for used ATVs or UTVs, and a 4-wheel-drive truck or SUV. Do you or someone you know have a vehicle you would like to donate? We could use vehicles like this for our Team Goshawk work in southern Idaho, restoration work at the Diane Moore Nature Center, and our Lucky Peak project. Email IBO@boisestate.edu for details.
Online volunteer training this winter
