Children’s Center and Parent Support Group

The Children’s Center offers a free Baby and Me support group to campus parents and their babies. The support group is a great way to meet other families with new infants and for grown ups to have some fun with their babies in a relaxed environment.

Family Caregiver Navigator
The Family Caregiver Navigator (FCN) provides free, remote resources and support to caregivers throughout the state. Navigators work directly with caregivers to provide connection to critically needed resources, peer support and tools to combat stress and burnout.

Lactation (Nursing) Rooms and Breaks for Nursing Parents
In support of new nursing parents on campus and in compliance with employer required amendments to the Fair Labor Standards Act, Boise State University has prepared fifteen private lactation break rooms dedicated for nursing parents across campus. The rooms are available by reservation only for faculty, staff and student use and are designed to provide the needed privacy for parents to express breast milk.

Parking and Transportation Discounts
All new employee identification cards have a free bus pass included. Employees who don’t have a bus pass sticker on their card can pick one up for free at the Student Union Info Desk.
Boise State, in partnership with Valley Regional Transit’s City Go Boise, provides discounts for university employees in four downtown parking garages, free bike parking, carpool, vanpool and transit connections.
To join the City Go Boise program follow these steps:
- Navigate to Boise State’s portal on the City Go Boise website.
- A window will open to provide your first and last name, work email address and create a user password.
- Select “Boise State employee plan”.
- Review plan options.
Recreation Center
As an employee, for a small fee, you can use the Campus Recreation facilities.

Wellness Release Time
Boise State benefit eligible employees are allotted 60 minutes of wellness release time per week with supervisor approval. On-campus activities will be approved as well as some off-campus activities in which the supervisor can request documentation. The 60 minutes can be used all at once or divided throughout the week (15 minutes for four days a week, 30 minutes for 2 days a week, etc.) To utilize this service, please fill out the Wellness Release Time Form.
Please note:
The form no longer needs to be sent to Health Services, but will stay between the employee and the supervisor. It is encouraged to review annually or as needed.
